BBandT Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Truist Financial Corporation is an American bank holding company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company was formed in December 2019 as the result of the merger of BB&T (Branch Banking and Trust Company) and SunTrust Banks. Its bank operates 2,049 branches in 15 states and Washington, D.C., and offers consumer and commercial banking, securities brokerage, asset management and mortgages.
Martin shared his experience, "I have had good experiences with BB&T until they merged with TRUIST. I have had mortgages and HELOCs. During a recent streamline refi (IRRRL), BB&T went awry. I had to call their Executive Resolutions office in North Carolina to get their Subordination department to do job and re-subordinate. This transaction was to merely reduce my interest rate on my primary mortgage. Apparently, an internal BB&T process is to request an appraisal and conduct a loan-to-value (LTV) verification. The original note was secured with my home using an 85% LTV and an appraisal of $940K. BB&T decides now to use an arbitrary selected value of $775K called a “desktop appraisal” that was well below ($165K) the original appraisal of $940K; which was the basis for the HELOC."

Horrible environment from management to actually work building never cleaned properly always insects, equipment breaks very often computers shut down sporadically horrible environment"
Inbound Sales Representative (Current Employee) says"Forced to hit sales quotas that were misleading at interview interview stated that they were additional incentive and would not hinder your performance if you have an off month. That has been the complete opposite since I’ve started."
Branch Banker IV (Former Employee) says"It’s not a good company to work for the pay not good and hour are bad. They have you working under staff not a safe place to work . They have you pushing loans on people"
Commercial Credit Administrator II- Financial Services (Former Employee) says"You have to be your own advocate. If you have a complain against any manager your job will be in jeopardy if you go to HR. Transfer before you ever complain. Its not worthy."
BRANCH TEAM LEADER (Current Employee) says"The branch constantly runs on 2 people . One teller and one banker and the Managers are always out in the market. The managers don't care if you get a break or not they are just concerned and expect you to do everything with two people . The write you up if you don't do everything they expect . They also write you up if you are helping a client and get out late from the branch due to that . Iwould never recommend the company."
Bank Teller (Former Employee) says"Dog eat dog, very competitive, the sad part is they encourage that from within the company. There's a lot of favoritism if you are willing to compromise your values."

Branch Banking and Trust (Former Employee) says"I worked with BBT for almost three years. I had went through 4 different managers. We were always short staffed, pressured to hit numbers, and never compensated for the work we did. Goals were unrealistic. Upper management only care about themselves and their numbers. They didn’t care that the employees below them were suffering, causing multitasking, which leads to mistakes."
Customer Service Representative/Call Center (Former Employee) says"I got this job seeking advancement in my career to find if you do take a sick day you apparently get fired I had 2 miscarriages in their facility was approved to leave by manager had no warnings or write ups and was fired for absenteeism! Branch Coordinator (Former Employee) says"Company lacks morale. Mgrs are stagnant no room for growth. A lot of favoritism. Ppl don’t move up everyone worked together for 100 years so they like who they like. Company needs to merge its old back in the day ways are so outdated. Don’t work there you’ll regret it. Especially the md region."
Client Server Engineer (Former Employee) says"Just don’t do it. When yourself and 6 colleagues who either started with you or just after you leave the company after only a short while, you know something is wrong. Main problem, not being honest up front in the interviewing process. Maybe they’ve fixed it, who knows?"
Auto collections (Current Employee) says"Some days I felt like I was hyper ventilating, I sat in my car pondering before I went into the building. Loud cackling from the co-workers and very unprofessional atmosphere, absolutely no respect. No training at all and a the oldest collections system. Absolutely no training and felt very pressured for not knowing policy, learn as you go. No work life balance and weekly staff meetings are like being in. Kindergarten classroom. A very high turnover rate."
Mortgage Custodian (Former Employee) says"I had extremely poor management and zero room for growth within the company. When I took the job after college, they ensured me it would be a good stepping stone, then after working for them for a year, they informed me there would be no where for me to move up to."
Mortgage Loan Junior Underwriter (Former Employee) says"Who you know will offer advances otherwise very unlikely. Management was racist. Unfair practices were encouraged by many in upper management. Very cheap when it comes to showing employees the company cares about them."
